When the rose tinted glasses come off, we start to see that a place we once thought magical was never meant to be magical for us.

What do you do when you feel excluded, ostracized at a place that was supposed to be magical? Jes Freeman, a Black, trans, fantasy nerd and hip-hop head finds herself confronted with this as she begins her Freshman year at the Sanguine University of Magic. Built on harm and continuing harm, can Jes, alongside her friends change the school or would it have been better to keep the rose tinted glasses on?
